It definetely hurts my feelings that non-Episcopal Protestants often act the role of modern-day Pharisees. I love them and forgive them, but it makes me want to sneak into their New Testaments and insert post-it notes saying "This Means You" wherever Jesus explains to the Pharisees that following all the rules while acting like they're better than other people and looking down on everyone else is totally missing Father's point in making the rules in the first place.
BTW, why should you always take two Baptists fishing with you?
Because if you just take one, he'll drink all your beer.
Sorry, that was me. New computer, cookies didn't transfer, so the 'stay logged in all the time from this computer' option was undone and I didn't notice.
I'm glad you're going to take a few weeks to slow down. I worry that you've forgotten how nice it is to nap in the sun in the middle of the afternoon or sit quietly outside and watch the bugs on the tomato plants. It sounds to me like you need a good road trip.
I feel justified in my surprise that you go to church, given both our history regarding it.
I think I'd still be anti-organized religion if it weren't for this splendid lovely church I've been going to. A woman there actually got upset last weekend that my hair wasn't a crazy color any more, and insisted I go dye it green immediately.
And before you start fretting, please know I spent a good part of the weekend basking in the sun in front of the Mission and the past few days have been devoted to quiet time in my apartment with the sound of the rain coming down outside. I'm going to rock at this kicking back thing. ;-)

Q: How many Episcopalians does it take to change a light bulb?
A. Three. One to call the electrician, one to mix the drinks and one to talk about how much better the old one was.
