Ooo, this! At first I was like... uhm, so when are Magnus and Will coming to the scene? I almost looked at the watch just to see how much time passed. Then bam, they were there and oh I loved Will bitching about Magnus flying, though it's kinda cool that it wasn't really Will, because really? It wasn't HIM! whining, so no need to badmouth the boy. Whatever, I started enjoying the show the moment the two appeared.
I liked the mention of Requiem, at first I thought it might be something like it, but then it was Kush all again. And aw for the final scene... Will and Magnus arriving, the Mexican standoff. And Will shooting himself without a flinch? That was just BAMF!
All in all, a pretty decent episode, although I can't wait for the one with just Magnus and Will:-D
But yeah, this episode was nicely done because: I'm pretty sure Henry's mumblings early on were foreshadowing -- didn't he say something like, course if anyone would try it, it's her? But since at that point we didn't know about any mind-manipulators being on board, we had no reason to suspect, and while I did sort of wonder why Will kept keeping an untended gash on his head (what does Henry think of him, I wonder, that that was like that? Because I suspect Helen doesn't go anywhere without some kind of minimal first aid kit, and they probably had time to like slap on a bandaid while they're working in this unknown-weird-probably dirty environment), I had accepted him as real, so it didn't make me think that was what was wrong.
Although I did tumble to "salt water kills them" a lot faster than the characters did. Heh.
This one was a little slow in the beginning, yes, but I did like all that Declan (because I've got a thing for him). I did like that Declan and Henry's perception would be that Will would bitch endlessly about Helen's flying. I'm pretty sure this must have happened off screen enough at Sanctuary family dinners that it's A Thing.
...yeaaah the musical episode. IDK, Pascale has a pretty voice? And I'm really hoping Henry's in this one since I know RyRo can sing.
I'm really curious about the musical episode. When I first heard, I was like "they're soooo jumping the shark with that". I just DONT watch musical episodes, period. Though I love musicals:-)
BUT... I saw the promo and it intrigued me. First off, lots of scenes with Will it seems *some of them with Will flying, Will running, you get the picture:) * and I've actually loved Abby in the few shots I've seen. She finally looked dangerous and capable. Oh, and I totally loved her voice! Or... the bit she was singing anyway. So... I'll keep my judgment till I finish watching Fugue (but I WILL watch it:-)
I'm loving the new harder, shoot first ask questions later approach our young William is adopting this season. rrrroooow. Also don't you just LOVE Declan? 'Can't you just rrrrr' muhahaha!
This episode definitely got better as it went along. I can't imagine how they could have worked in a subplot this week...
And I couldn't help thinking that Declan's team was like the red-shirt ensigns on Star Trek... the ones who go with the away team and always get killed ;)
