Aww. All of those guys are serious cuties. I wish I had somewhere nearby that I could show up and walk dogs at. In the meantime I will just keep nomming my neighbors' dogs every chance I get until I'm an adult and can get my own.
ooh, and the tarantulas are also listed as "cocaroaches" on the website. that's only one letter away from cocoaroaches! Which is...awesome? disgusting? I don't even know.
Well, I've already been poring over petfinder every day dreaming of the puppies I'm going to get, so it's not like I really needed the encouragement!
Also, as to working at Barnes and Noble, one of the things I dislike about the two big chain bookstores as a consumer is that the people who work there tend to be less informed and less interested in really good books. I had a friend who has been a manager at a number of independent bookstores who worked at Barnes and Noble for a brief while-- he said they require their staff to "love books", but that this was (a) not exactly enforced, and (b) very vague about what books you had to love-- one of his co-workers read nothing but paranormal romance novels, and was considered to be one of the people who "love books". So, as a consumer, and as someone who has an investment in really good, interesting, off-the-beaten path books being accessible to the public, having someone like you working at Barnes and Noble is good thing.
