don't make myself crazy over the horrible things that the new US administration/Congress are likely to do, because I can't fix all that
Seriously. A few weeks ago, first they came for the socialists started going round and round in my head. I have to limit news reading to 15 minutes a day or I feel sick.
I so hear you on the resolutions thing. I find it works better for me, if I have to set a target, to set one *below* what I actually think I can achieve - I respond much better to exceeding my targets/goals than to failing to reach them!
(My one and only New Year's resolution this year is to get 8 hours' sleep a night, or at least to be in bed with the light out for a minimum of 8 hours! At which point I really should turn off this light-emitting, sleep-disrupting screen and go to bed, but I'm just going to have another half glass of wine...)
LOL, I should make that resolution - I do so much better when I get at least 8, better yet 9, hours of sleep a night. But it's almost impossible when we don't have dinner until 8 and I have to get up at 6! I wish you luck in achieving yours...
I only managed 7 1/2 in the end last night, because I noodled online for too long and then read in bed :-) But I'm going to keep at it!
I don't have to get up till 7 for work, thank goodness - in the spring/summer, when it's light earlier, I often get up at 6 or 6.30 to go running, but I find it easier to get by on less sleep when the days are longer anyway. Getting up in the dark and leaving work/coming home in the dark is the one thing about winter I absolutely *hate*. Just looked it up and doing both in daylight will happen round about early February (not sunrise/sunset, that's late Feb, but it's light a little earlier and later), so only really another month to slog through!
