Work and stuff

The Horseshoe casino where I work experienced a bit of a setback as they moved out the old boat and attempted to move the new one into it's place yesterday.
As I was getting ready to go in for *more* training, it seemed to be plastered over the 12 o'clock news. There's a new boarding ramp that they were trying to connect from the boat to the ( Read more... )

Least you have the signs which are legal now. We dont have any such thing around here and you never know when a cop is going to just show up. Sometimes they hide off the side of the road in the dark with their lights off (like what happened to me) or in the bushes, etc..like what you used to have before the laws changed over in S Africa.

Good for you on getting out of the fine! *applauds* I know for a fact that there's nothing I can do with mine though. I can contest it, but all that will happen is a court date being given to me which could mean lost days of work with the eventuality of losing anyways. Its hard to contest when the police around here have radar guns that give the exact amount you were driving at when you passed them. If I refuse to pay, it could mean jail time and a bigger fine an the likelihood that my dealer license being suspended which in a nut shell would put me up shit creek with my job. Ah well. *shrug*

whoops and whoops :P at least it hasn't delayed your opening. It seems like you've been waiting to move to the new boat forever.

I have never been done for speeding *touches wood* though Rings blames me for the time she got done for speeding. Apparently being in the passenger seat distracting her was enough lol

Wow, you're doing so good on the training!! And errrr ... a ticket eh? No fun. The first one to mess up my record was about the same, how slow are you supposed to go and not be a hazard?? Sucky.

Well thats what training does...makes you better.:P But thanks..it has certainly been interesting with this job thus far. Can't say I've ever at one point yet said I disliked my job which is good.

So you have a bit of a lead foot as well huh? lol I would never have suspected this from you!:D My image of you keeps getting shifted at every moment..hehe.

No no, shift it back :) I drive by the rules lol. It was just this one time, a road where you normally can go 80 and they were working on it, so you could go 50. But, that day they weren't actually working. So everyone around me was going at least 65 or something, but I managed to stay under 60. I got a ticket for 54 .. geez. My only speeding ticket (in over 10 years).

So .... do I meet your expectations again?? :p

Good that nobody was hurt, it must have been a scary situation!
YAY for the 98%, I hope you get paid that much *gives envious look* ;)
Too bad you got caught speeding. In germany the cameras that catch you speeding are hidden everywhere, but people who detect them call the radio stations and they give the secrets away haha
*hugs*

Yeah, nobody was hurt and actually I think the publicity helped rather than hurt the casino. Just made interest in seeing the new boat escalate a bit more for the guests that love the gambling.

LOL...I so wish I lived in Germany cos it sounds like the general public over there actually has a voice in the matter. I've never heard of people calling the radio stations over here..too bad to cos the way cops are so sneaky here it would certainly be helpful. I bet the police arent very happy with their 'hidden' spots being revealed though..hehe.
