You have to spend how many hours at this preschool??? Please tell me you don't have to pay insane fees on top of this! Seriously, I'm a bit shocked reading about this massive commitment. We resigned a place for Precious at a very nice kindergarden, because it was a parental initiative, meaning we'd have to cook for 12 children every 3 weeks and clean the rooms for 1 week every 2 months. Plus butt in if a teacher was sick. And we couldn't imagine how to manage this with two jobs and a newborn. (Now Precious is at a wonderful kindergarden round to corner, where we can use the time gained for things not kindergarden-related.)

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to criticize your choice, and I can totally understand about giving the second-born the same chances as the first-born (and how difficult this is at times!) - I'm just really shocked and impressed by your schedule. And feel like a totally lazy bum.... :)

Sorry to babble further... wanted to say sorry: the comment above sounds ways too harsh (especially when looked at with a day to spare). I didn't want to come across as harsh or criticizing. Or telling you how to run your life better. Or anything like that. It was just that I was thinking "how on earth can she manage that?" So the harshness is due to compassion (and being blunt by nature and culture) (and lacking the finer points of writing English).

Good preschool/kindergarden is such an important thing. We have lots of offers here, but so few are really good. I was so relieved when we found the right early day care and now kindergarden. I dread looking for a school next year. (Next year??? Where has all the time gone?)

So, best wishes and *hugs* and a fat apology!

I CAN'T BELIEVE GABRIEL WILL SOON BE IN PRESCHOOL - WHERE DOES THE TIME GOOOO??

Shock aside, it's actually interesting to see how your school is run. Here in the UK there's been a few government proposals for exactly this kind of thing, where the community runs the school up to a certain point. But wow, how are you going to find all that extra time?! o.O
Anyway, you and your husband are amazing. Fact.
*hugs*
