Wow ... so, over six months since I last posted. What can I say? Quick summary: The boys are wonderful. Our family is basically okay, although my husband was in the hospital in January and will be going in for a followup diagnostic test tomorrow (fingers crossed that 1) we get results, and 2) whatever the diagnosis is, it is something manageable.) Yeah, thank you. My life is insane. I've kind of accepted it because preschool is only for two years, and I ought to be able to survive, and it's worth it to give my son that experience. But then kind of not, because it's really hard not to have enough time to myself on an ongoing basis.

I know that when I look back on it, it will seem like an incredibly brief period of time and I will wonder why I was such a whiner and did not appreciate the time with my son when I had it. But in the middle of it, it seems as though it will go on forever. :P

WHY AM I SO BAD AT LIVING IN THE MOMENT?!

Anyway, I would of course love to hear from you -- always! -- but please, please do not feel any obligation. As someone drowning under a sea of them, the last thing I want to do is inflict another on someone else.

Hey! Well, the hospitalization was kind of a nightmare -- and a long story that I will have to tell you sometime -- and we've never really gotten an explanation other than "a virus." But the diagnostic quest continues ... (the short version is he's had a lot of GI issues. We don't know what is causing them, but he's been really suffering.)

Ouch. But interesting, because Laura too. Everytime there's a flu, she gets hit for days, and has been in hospital over it too. They can't find anything. I wonder if they have some borderline thing like IBS or some intolerance that flares up when anything viral hits it. Huh.
