1.19 and Dark Souls

So 1.19, you sexy motherfucker you. Where to start? Materia turned out to be a great system and not a gimmick, shocked even me. In a nutshell its merits that are tied to pieces of gear, and when you 'ding' you turn the gear itself into Materia which then gets socketed into other gear. Semi-random materia is created with different scales of potency ( Read more... )

The framerate issues are overplayed mostly. Theres one spot in slows to a crawl but is fine after you kill the butcher. New Londo Ruins can be rough running in but, again, it passes. I've yet to encounter a single time where an FPS drop has caused me to die like a bitch. I'm quite capable of doing that myself ( ... )

Idk I feel like the online is infinitely better in this one. I don't see how friends are not allowed to play together, the only restriction seems to be that you have to be a similar soul level which is the same as the first game. I personally see way more people than I ever did in the original, there's so much more to do and way more incentive to do so.

I've seen fail to summon, but it's not very often.

Test it the way it worked in Demon's Souls. Find a friend and tell him where your white phantom sign is and I can practically guarantee you he won't see it.

The known method right now is to be within 10% of each others level then lay your sign every 45 seconds till your friend sees it (you'll need some form of communication). Me and a friend tried this. I saw his sign after 5 minutes, attempted to summon, failed. It took 25 minutes for it to show up for me again, attempted to summon, failed. We reversed roles after I died to an invasion, he saw my sign after 15 minutes, attempted to summon, failed. Extremely irritating.
