Reasons for going 'Friends Only'celerestJanuary 7 2006, 23:31:23 UTC
I have slowly been coming to the conclusion that I am only going to fully embrace all that this 'eljay' thing has to offer if I can be sure that I know who is reading what I post - call me paranoid, but any old goon could be seeing my innermost thoughts, and to me that is weird.
On top of this, a very inconsiderate and ignorant user followed a trail through a community back to my journal, and left a rather insensitive comment - and so the nail was firmly struck into the coffin.
However, I am not adverse to input from new people, so by all means leave a comment here and I will check you out before adding you to my friends list, giving you full access to my inner psyche.

I'm going back to public posts, and only some of the posts will remain friends only. Sensitive posts will be made friends only in future. I came over all rightous and decided that noone has the right to control what I choose to do with this - get me.

Of course you are not - I love your comments!
And you already are a friend of my account, so you will not be stopped from seeing anything at all, it only affects people who are not already my friend.
so, while ive got a five minute break from putting together christmas and new years toys...who followed you and what was the mean thing? i hate it when i miss drama...lol.
You know how much I love a good drama also, but alack to say there was no such fun!
All that happened was someone came and posted a comment which was wholy unrelated to the topic on which they posted, being more than a little insensitive about something which I had said on another community.
Basicaly, they related a poem I had written to the fact that I have Aspergers, and said some none too nice things about what that meant of my intelect and life. How dare anyone presume things like that about me. So, end say they are blocked from commenting in future posts and the comment in question has been removed.
I run the aspie_howto community. I'd like to talk to you about your book project (sounds cool!). Please email me. My email address is at gmail dot com.
