[There was a kitchenette in her room; it means, at least, that when she has food, it'll keep and she can cook it -- in her small shitty microwave. She killed some animal that vaguely resembled a day or two ago -- cleaning it in her bathtub hadn't been fun, but what could be used was cooked and put away. What couldn't be was taken down the hall and left far away from her room. She has no idea how long the barge would be this way; it pays to be safe. Now she's checking outside to see if anything has changed, and indeed, there is a man! He looks harmless but why take chances? Thankfully Rose hadn't managed to come claim her gun yet -- or the flood floor turned her into a guy wearing celery on his lapel. Birdy aimed from her door.]

[The Doctor was slightly taken aback by the sudden appearance of a young blonde woman pointing a gun at him. He gave her an extremely stern look.]

Perhaps you'd like to point that elsewhere so we can have this discussion like mature adults.

That all depends, sugar. [She doesn't lower the weapon.] I've never seen you before and for all I know you could be a lot less friendly than you look, and my powers don't work on this floor. Nothing personal, but this place is kinda crazy right now.

[The Doctor frowns at her] Well I've never seen you before either, but I didn't immediately pull a weapon on you! [Not that he actually has a weapon which he could pull at this point, in fact, not that he ever seems to have a weapon... Still, that means she has even less reason to be threatening him!]

Look, if you're so concerned about my being here then I'll leave, I'm certainly not going to help this place get any more out of control by provoking you!
