Leaving after Christmas is always bittersweet. Not only because I have to say goodbye to my family but because despite my complaints about it over the years, Michigan is so comfortable and familiar to me. I spent my last real day of laziness washing to dog, doing laundry, and cleaning up after my sister Erin. I did not shovel the drive (nothing in the world could have convinced me to do that, although my Dad jokingly tried). What is it about being at your parent's house that makes you feel like you should be doing housework? I swear it's like the guilt is built into the cement of the foundation ( ... )
