Having watched the the Life Aquatic more times than I care to admit with Mommy (it's one of her favourites). I will confess to have developed a certain emotional attachment to Owen Wilson. The Owen Wilson suicide attempt is the kind of thing that gets me feeling like my fur hasn't been groomed in a month. That guy doesn't get laid enough, so now he ( Read more... )

I can never keep them separated. This is the blonde one with the schnozz who fights Jackie Chan, and not the other one who fights Reese Witherspoon?

It's like in The Royal Tenenbaums, only without Eliot Smith and the Pity-Incest. Who will sleep in Owen's indoor tent now?

Jesting aside, I am not sure what the media fuss is about. To me, this simply proves that Owen Wilson is a real human being who hurts and bleeds like anyone else. That would be how he's able to present himself as so vulnerable on film, because he is. Would Owen Wilson be nearly as likable without that vulnerability?

Luke and Owen Wilson are twin brothers.
Luke is the craggy-jawed brunet who played the brooding, Gwyneth obsessed former tennis star in The Royal Tennenbaums. In that same movie, Owen Wilson played the drug-addicted cowboy manque poet, Eli Cash.
