[That's alright, it takes a moment before Ammy bolts awake again to the sound of demonic laughter. She looks around in confusion. How did? No, this couldn't be happening. What's more confusing is Mildmay is one of the dead, so how could he...?

This doesn't make any sense! Ammy whines at her sphere even as she starts to fade again.]

[he blinks for a moment, thinking he's seeing things as she comes back to life. but as he starts as she begins to fade]

It's a trick, Ammy! It ain't real--

[It certainly feels real. The laughter only gets louder as Ammy struggles to stay standing.]

Amaterasu?

[The dust reforms into her wolf form, and she lifts her head, whining at her sphere. She can't stay awake much anymore, and she's not sure how to shake this.]

I think... if you can get out of the room... it might stop...

[Between her and the door is the dark hand and the pile of corpses. This doesn't look good.]

[Riku's shocked. he can't stop from being shocked, seeing that happen to one of his closest friends.

his first inclination is to run down there, to help her. but his own experience with these things have proven to him that fighting them is next to impossible. he either has to get her out of there - because she'll come back, right? that's what's been happening to everyone if they... - or he could try something else.

he doesn't know if it's going to work, but he's going to try it anyway]

[Riku presses a fist against his chest, his head lowered, eyes closed.

[The dust collects faster this time, and when she wakes up, her colors are a bit brighter. She sneezes, lifting her head with a whine. Riku?]

Ammy, you know that we believe in you, don't you?

[he opens his eyes to look at her] I don't know what that thing is, but I know you'd stop it long before it got near anyone that you cared about.

[Her whine is sharp, and she glances to the pile of bodies. No, it should be dead, she'd defeated it before. The Day of Darkness was over, this shouldn't have happened... She whines again, slipping off her bed and approaching the bodies, nosing them.

They couldn't be dead, not really. Riku and Mildmay were safe, so that meant that at least two of these bodies were horrible illusions. That didn't make it hurt any less to see them this way.]

[hellcommander]

[ok, so Ammy is one of the few "friends" Hiruma had managed to make on his relatively short stay on the Crucible. So he's worried. ]

You found the door out of there? You've gotta conquer whatever it is you're scared of, snowball!

I don't know how. [She's sprawled in the hall, panting heavily as she slowly recovers from the power drain.]

I think I'm beginning to understand, but... [She shakes her head, focusing on catching her breath.]

Well, practice makes fucking perfect. I've been going in and out of my room all day today and yesterday.... eventually you get used to it.

[?! Oh, he's not happy. He likes the derp goddess, dammit.]

[He clenches his hand around the Shinken, gritting his teeth] Don't believe them, you're fine! You've got to get out of there!!

I keep falling asleep, I don't know what I have to do to stop this. Riku said something about fear and I-- [She's cut off with a yelp as the hand swats at her, knocking her back into the pile of bodies. If he looks, he might see himself and Ame among them.]

[Yup, he sees them, alright. Not good.]

You've got to confront your fear...I think. I don't know, Ame came in and helped me out of there before-

I don't...I don't know what to do. [This just didn't make sense, maybe she wasn't thinking clearly? She was tired and sore and sick of this mess and the ship and she wanted it to stop hitting her!]

I destroyed this demon already, this shouldn't be happening!
