I helped Asher. [Scratches at the bandages. Those are really, really irritating.]

And you looked like hell afterward, too. And what's up with those bandages? What could you possibly have been helping him with that would leave you in this kind of condition?

[Scratch scratch scratch...ah! A corner of the tape begins to peel, and Ammy starts tugging at it. She looks a little frustrated with it.]

That's because Asher's stupid and doesn't take care of himself like he should even when people offer to help. If he fed himself properly, that wouldn't have happened. Stupid males... Gah, it won't come off. What is this? It's sticky...

[With a quick rip, she's got one length of tape off, but the gauze is still stuck on. Ammy goes back to scratching.]

Asher should be fine. I helped him out a little myself. [he's a liiiiiittle awkward talking about it, but well]

How are you feeling?

Ah, I had a feeling you might, he was still hungry even after I nearly forced him to feed. [She scowls, using her hands to pick up a steak and tear into it while she thinks.] That was stupid of him waiting so long, he should know better, that it would be worse for everyone the longer he waits. I do not mind helping, but it frustrates me when he does not wish to bother, and yet makes things worse by stalling.

If he tries to do that again I will slam him into a wall to knock some sense into him. [She sighs, burning out the annoyance as she finishes off her meat. Ammy takes a moment to lick her fingers clean before answering.]

Exhausted, a little dizzy, a bit sick. Better now than before I slept, but the food and sleep helps.

I've told him not to do that, but...mm. Things have been difficult for him lately. He's been avoiding nearly everyone because of it.

[...okay, that gets him smiling a little] I'm sure he'll get the idea then.

[thinks a moment, frowning slightly] I'm beginning to wonder if you can't handle blood loss as well as other lifeforms. Most humans can donate a specific amount without too many detrimental effects.

Maybe so, that does not change the fact that it was a foolish thing to do.

[Hmph!] He'd better.

Riku, do you know how much he drank from me? [She looks at him with a hard stare.] The amount he took was much higher than a normal feeding. Far more. It was not something that any of the others would have handled well. Although my powers being sealed does not help. I have had worse wounds and survived, but then I had my powers to help.

For now, how about we just take a rain check on that, okay?

[He pauses to take a closer look, frowning.] It doesn't seem like you should be up and about, anyway. What happened?

Ahhh, but I'm hungry... Maybe I'll just go and get something myself.

Stupid Asher waited too long. Idiot. [Just thinking about it reminds her of the tape, and she goes back to scratching at her bandage.] If he waited any longer, he might've accidentally killed someone. What is this? Wasn't there when I fell asleep, it itches and it's sticky.

[Buh? Abel pulls a confused face.]

What do you mean? Ammy, that's a bandage. Who's been waiting too long for what? And why did it involve hurting you?

[She keeps forgetting how much he doesn't remember.

Finally Ammy manages to get a good grip on the gauze and rip it off. Making a face, she presses a hand to the bite as it starts to sting in earnest as soon as it's exposed to the air. It needs cleaning and a new bandage, but Ammy just wrinkles her nose at the stained gauze square and throws it in with the rest of the trash. The skin around the bite is swollen and red, but her overall complexion is too pale.]

Asher. He waited over a month to feed, that idiot. 'Didn't want to trouble anyone' he said. If I hadn't been cursed, this should've healed by now! Last night was too risky, I think it came close to being really bad for me, and even after that, he needed someone else. If he'd fed off of any of the others first last night, I don't think they would have made it.

If he tries to wait that long again I will pound his head in.

[is amused seeing the piles of empty plates. his suggestion for room service seems to have been taken.] Ah well...that can wait. I just wanted to make sure you were well enough before joining us on level 24.

And to warn you. It's gotten much more dangerous than originally anticipated.
