Some days I feel like laughing, or crying, or like taking over the world...

Literally. Maybe figuratively.

And then other days I just want to sit on my bed and stare at the tree in my backyard and watch the sunset.

big pictures of a tree (that no one cares about). But I've spent a good amount of evenings literally just hanging my head out the window, enjoying the view. Not sure what it says about me but I like it.

my happy tree )

You're not weird. I have the names for two trees in front and three out the back of my building. I also wrote two instalments of an original fic The Boy Who Talked To Trees.

Taking over the world is always a plan.

Speaking of your writing...I have a newfound yet permanent love for it all. I spent two days reading your drabbles and such and I'm not done. I'm still in the middle of 'Silent Chess'.

Your writing is just amazing.

I'd try to take over the world...but then I would be tired of looking at everyone and then I might go hide in a cave with some tea and biscuits.

Aren't trees wonderful? I'm sure my neighbors can't understand why I just sit in my window or in my backyard, doing absolutely nothing, but it's silent and peaceful, two things I can't get enough of. And that tree is huge and beautiful and I threatened everyone that they'd better not entertain so much as a single thought of cutting it down.

Silent Chess is some of my earliest work. My love in life is picking Severus Snape's brain, to risk stating the obvious.

I find myself leaning towards more writers who do just that...you're one of those gems in the ruff. And you do is so, so well.

I believe it says you are a lover of beauty who finds inspiration and serenity in the lush landscape of nature. Not a thing wrong with that!

Perhaps that particular tree is a place of power for you, since you seem drawn to it in particular. It almost seems to be calling to you. Perhaps it would be a good idea to sit under the tree, back pressed up against the trunk, close your eyes, and mentally ask the tree what it would like to tell you. Then just listen. I'm betting that you'll have all sorts of impressions register in your mind. Neighbors be damned. For all they know, you could be just meditating. And really... you are.

I, too, have a deep love for trees. We have a lot of them in our yard, most of which are "volunteers". I always wanted to live in a forest (even though we live on the outskirts of an urban area), and because we let the trees be instead of cutting them just because we didn't plant them, I now do. I feel calmer and protected with them around.

Funnily enough, that tree was enough for me to start thinking of a bunch of ideas for an original story of mine. It was in my head for the longest but the more I stared out my window the more clarified the ideas became. Oooh I think you're onto something.

It's horrible I'm in the...I guess suburbs but they don't maintain the tree lining the streets. Thank goodness this one is in my backyard, I love huge evergreens.
