It's a sad state of affairs when people are still raising their eyebrows about a woman not wanting children. You'd think they'd get over it already, it's 2013!
But then I get that same crap when I tell people we're only having one. You just can't win.
Glad you popped in and to hear you're doing well if not going a bit stir crazy. *hugs*
These are the people who don't think before they make choices; they just assume that if you get married, you automatically start spitting out children. They sometimes think of you as "selfish", which I think is very telling about how they REALLY feel about having kids. Perhaps they are even a little jealous of you, that you have the courage to go against the norm
( ... )
That's because you're not wrong with that. Not all women are programmed to be Molly Weasley. Some of us are Hermione Grangers (because the epilogue doesn't exist).
I enjoyed ACO, and the first two books of The Hunger Games, but not the third.
I hope your wrist pulls through and in fine bitch slapping condition soon. :-D
No, my dear, it is not at all wrong to feel like this. If or when the time is right, you'll know it and if that time never comes and you like kids, well, there's a lot to be said for the role of doting aunt/godmother/other relative or family friend.
I'm a mum and love it, but I was a late life mum who came to that point where I wanted kids in my own time and copped the same attitude from many as you're getting now when I didn't feel any stirrings from my biological clock. Half the women in my family are childless by choice and the rest of the family are fine with that - it's entirely up to you.
I hope the bone graft goes smoothly and heals quickly!

i hated clockwork orange. It was BORING. I had no sympathy for the protagonist. One of the top 10 worst books I've read.
