The neighbors are having a barbeque/party next door. She invited us but considering that this was the woman who was so nonchalant about her longtime vicious dog breaking loose, chasing down my nephew and trying to bite him, I think I'll decline ( Read more... )

Good writing can ferment in your mind during the auditory onslaught and spill out when it dies. The fertile mind never lies. Except about monumental cleanups ;)

What a super-amazing neighbor! So considerate. If she lived where I do her dog would be taken and destroyed and she would have a horrible fine to pay for that dog incident. Bite or not, it would have been considered an attack. She's lucky.

You know, everyone I spoke to just wanted to be alone this 4th as well! I didn't feel like doing much of anything and was secretly grouchy about having to get up and go to the place I did go. :D So you were in good company this past weekend.

Sorry your ear-rape was happening. I'm sure the ear-worm effect was devastating. :(

Well, if it were me, I'd pull the 'Old Granny' trick.

1. Dial the number of the local police station
2. Adopt a senior citizen-like croak
3. Complain at length about the noise. "It's so loooud! All these young people! So rude! So looooouuuud!"
4. If the police does not show up to address your noise-complaint, call again and complain some more
5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 :P

Yay for subdued holidays! Sometimes it's great to just relax with close relatives without the worry of the clean up after.

*HUGS* Hope your 4th was good? Mine was ok. We had a neighbor shooting fireworks close to 11 pm that night. It was so loud the noise startled me.

I think my muse has left me. Haven't written a thing in several days now.
