Things I've learned in the past week (or so)...

1. Tornadoes can and will hit New York. And one did, not far from me either. Needless to say after the fact I'm freaked out but thankful that no one was hurt. Although I'm sure the person that had their car picked up and dropped on another car has hurt feelings, same for the person that found their entire roof in another neighbor's yard a few ( Read more... )

Wise words, my dear, wise words, especially number four.

And embrace the calming influence of pizza ... and Hook.

I can't quite believe I just called Hook 'calming', but you know what I mean. ;-)

With number four, I will admit to have to tell myself to take a seat and stop thinking pissy thoughts, I will admit to this.

If Hook is calming me in the way that you write so beautifully...by all means, I'd never have another worry ;) *knees buckle*

The pizza was quite calming, I must admit! The wind howled, the rain pounded down, and I kept calm had a lovely slice with mushrooms and olives and a coca cola.

Yummy yum! My fave too! So glad the hurricane didn't affect you too badly.

Howling wind and pouring rain - just right for nestling nice and cosy in a captain's cabin ... ;-)

Yay! (I still have that blessed coke, I couldn't drink it all!)

Oh now, see, you are going to make me go back and read a little more naughty stories that take place in the captain's cabin!

I've started redoing my Wendy/Hook fic because I've learned a bit since writing it and...I just can't get enough of our elegant pirate captain ;)

Think of the words of Tom Waits

"There's one thing you can't lose, and it's that feel -
Your pants, your shirt, your shoes...but not that feel"

Things can be replaced, but you won't have to replace yourself.
May tornadoes stay the hell away.

Thank you dear, and I hope so! And from everyone else's post I hope they stay far the hell away from them too.
