Anytime I say that I'm baking a cake at wtf o'clock...

Someone please slap me.

But it is two days  late as my fiance's birthday was the 9th and he doesn't ask for much, but he wanted a chocolate on chocolate cake this time. I kept saying tomorrow, tomorrow..but as I let my sugar and butter sit today I had no choice but to carry on.

My only complaint is that the damn top kept sliding! And my layers didn't ( Read more... )

And...there she goes again...taunting Lucius and me with chocolate cake. Damn that woman!

*murmurs to Lucius, 'don't worry, dearheart, I'll steal that cake for you and then we'll-'*... cough... err... right... sorry...I forgot about you lot out there...

*straightens shirt and looks innocent* Quite.

That is a yummy looking cake. So I'll be over via Bolt in about 3 hours, 'kay? ;^)

PS. Oh yes, I use that chocolate for hot cocoa and I even throw it into my coffee (or do I put coffee into it?) to make a mocha on a saturday morning.

I'm soorryyyy!

I thought that sardonic Hook look was fitting for this post, as it's how my face is right now lol!!

DAMN THAT if there is cake and Lucius I'm to have them both, or at the same time, I'm not picky.

YAY I can't wait! Shall I have the wine and guest room ready in case we overindulge? But you'd better drool over Lucius in the OoTP with me!!!

Wow really?! I'm going to try that....daaaaaaaaamn I used the whole can! Heheh I'll buy some more ;)

Why thank you! And you are more than welcome to a huge slice or two.

I really hope the damned thing stopped sliding, else tomorrow morning is going to prove interesting...

(Oh yes, totally stealing that avatar. I had that exact moment going to buy sugar for the cake and loudly screamed that I should have stayed in my house.)

YUM!!!!

Who cares if it looks wonky. It means it's homemade and will taste good!

I tell you, I cannot do boxed cake, I'm sorry! I'm a homemade snob especially after making my first one. Then I ate a box cake and was crying the entire time because it tasted fake to me! hehe

The last cake lasted 2 days :/ I take it to mean that I gained my family's approval. The first one lasted much longer.

Try banan cake with chocolate butter creme icing. Make it as a sheet. It will disappear. LOL

I like pinapple upsideown cakes. No frosting, and very moist.

*sharply inhales* The sound I just made was NOT human!!! OMG recipe?

My fiance LOVES chocolate AND banana, if I put both together, man oh man!! That sounds deeelicious!

Same here, we do pineapple upside down cake. Oh do people frost those? I've only had it unfrosted. My cousin usually makes that, along with coconut cake, but those coconut shreds irritate my mouth.

Ah...I think it looks just fine. How it tastes is the only thing I ever care about, and that chocolate you posted looks divine.

I've had pretty cakes from a ritzy bakery that weren't fit to eat. I prefer homemade and delish any day of the week.

Yummmm! The Leaning Tower of Cake? Who cares! It looks fabulous! Did you know that wonky looking cakes are quite popular? I'm serious! I've seen some. Covered in fondant and purposely cartoonish wonky! And really, all them fancy pastry chefs? They don't necessarily make perfectly shaped cakes...they sculpt the damn things! I've seen where they use a thin layer of icing to even stuff out after they shave off bits. Then they go over with another layer. So there.

Oh, and before my oven died, I used to make banana bread with loads of chocolate chips added. I just remembered that when you said your Man loves chocolate and banana cake.
