You won't be stuck cleaning up after others ( at home at least) your free time will be yours, and you'll have the happy glow of independence. Things will get better, silly.

No things will not get better! Things don't get better as you go into adulthood, they get worse. Then you get to worry about money and whether or not you can pay the bills! Oh, and you have to worry about whether your car is going to get you to where you need to go and you get to deal with grown up assholes and bosses who are more obnoxious than teachers could ever be and....

You get your own place. Less BS to deal with as far as parents goes. You can go wherever you want (Alaska) and maybe share your life with someone. Basically, it gets better and worse at the same time.
