Well, there are so very many amazing books that I have read over time and it seems impossible to pick just ten and call them the best I've ever read. However, in any given week or month there are a few that would always make the list of favorite books. 1984 is a scary read indeed.

1984 - and here we are on 30 years from then and we are still not quite at that level of insanity.

Nujood was an amazing read. She is an inspiration. Also 'Reading Lolita' made me appreciate the freedom we have to read and watch what we please. I have to admire these women who go against the authorities in their country knowing that it could mean they pay with their lives if they're caught.

Such issues are what I always bring to the table when the question about the need for 8. March comes up. As long as there are women out there with less freedom than what we take for granted we need this day.

I really liked The Da Vinci Code. :) I like it when a book keeps you wondering and giving at the same time. :D

Always fascinating to see the evidence they site and the ancient writings and artifacts. I have not read Inferno yet, but I have it. Guess I'll have to get busy and read it.
