Our first estimate- nice guy. Great siding, really nice stuff. After replacing EVERYTHING on the outside of the house (sofits, gutters, siding, repairing the really bad parts before putting the siding on, and capping the garage door and the window/door on the back of the garage), the grand total is... Nathan really did try to get all the way up there and fix it. Unfortunately, it was too high. And, we couldn't get the ladder in a great spot where it was completely level and steady. So the hole is still there. And we're most likely going to do the siding now...not in the spring ( Read more... ) -

Happy New Year!
We had a nice and quiet New years! My mom and step father came in on the 30th, so we all had dinner. The following morning we had breakfast and they were off to catch their plane. Christmas 2006
Christmas this year started off on Christmas Eve. We went over to Celia's teacher's house for dinner, and to wait up for Santa! Santa came by around 8 or so, and brought presents for the kids. My car went in yesterday because the little engine light was on, and I figured that while I was there, I'd have the oil change and next service done. Lucky me, it turns out there was an oxygen sensor that was shot, and with the extended warrenty they convinced us to buy when we got the car, it was covered, minus the deductible (it saved us $400 ( Read more... ) -

Celia slept in until 9:30!!! She didn't even cry for us to get her- she made her way out of her room, and climbed into bed with us to wake us up. It was SO cute!! And we all got a fantastic night sleep! Finally!
Oh, and yes, she is feeling much better. Phew! -

Poor Celia! She's been sick again pretty much all week. She's had a little cold for a few weeks, and then monday night, she was up at 1 coughing. She did go back to sleep, but she was coughing all night. crazy weekend!
So this past weekend was our annual "holiday" party, and it was SO much fun!! I think that there were about 30 or so people at different times of the night. The food was great- I was so happy! I started out around 9am, made the stuffing, followed by the ham, followed by the turkey, and the yams simultaneously. Everything turned out great! A ( Read more... )
