holy cow, i want a hedgehog.
now i'm going to spend the rest of the next hour until Mom gets here researching keeping hedgehogs as pets.

they are called petunia and holly. they're pretty cute...although being nocturnal creatures, i don't really see much of them. they live in the upstairs bathroom, mostly. sometimes they take baths in the tub downstairs. and by "baths" i kind of mean "go swimming", because a tub is pretty big for a hedgehog, even when you only put a few inches of water in it.
ottawa recently had all this fuss about making a bylaw against hedgehog ownership. my brother did a science paper about his critters and got to talk to this lady who has a hedgehog rescue centre there. she was naturally pretty upset about the bylaw.
