The movie for The Other Boleyn Girl was horrible. I love the cast but the movie was just badly written, weirdly paced and focused way too much on the romantic plot involving Henry, Mary and Anne. I mean, sure, that was quite a major plot in the book too, but the book somehow managed to make the main focus more of the sibling relationship between Mary, George and Anne (which I absolutely loved

Hmm. I dunno, I thought the movie was okay, but maybe I should rewatch it a second time; I wasn't very focused the first time. It appealed more to me though, because Anne wasn't the bitch she was in the books, or at least she was to a lesser degree.
Ahhh okay. I remember someone saying something about that, but I think my negative reaction towards her as an author is how she presents Anne Boleyn, even in her interview included with the movie. Her presentation seemed very prejudiced for me, and that she took the word of some controversial historians as fact.
I think I'll go check out the Boleyn Inheritance. :3 Sounds interesting, this whole other POV thing.
I can lend it to you if you want to read it, I just got to get my copy back from someone else who's borrowed it. The Other Boleyn Girl was the first Philippa Gregory novel I read and when I had, I thought it was amazing, gorgeous, flawless, etc. Then I read The Boleyn Inheritance and thought the same. It went on for the next few books so at the end of the day, The Other Boleyn Girl = my least favourite book by Philippa Gregory, ever.
