the bach suite is quite possibly the best quite. well...with the exception of the 5th suite...but it only counts when you tune down the a string to a g...

I know!! I was so excited!!! My teacher took me TOTALLY by surprise becuase I'd never thought that I'd be working on it until later in my career, but she proposed the idea and I love it!!!

i'm happy that you're happy. i know a lot of people say bach is boring and they just want to skip to debussy or what not. but honestly, if you really look at what bach did and why he wrote the piece the way he did, it's really interesting. the more i listen to it, i always seem to hear something i didn't hear before. don't ever brush him off, no matter how many times you've played it

best of luck to you and your long (and most definitely illustrious) cello career!

Thank you so much!! Yeah, I definitely love Bach. I like Debussy and other romantic works better from a listening/playing standpoint, but Bach is still definitely amazing... he was so talented. I love all his music for the cello especially, even more than his piano and whatnot-other works. Somehow it just sounds deeper on the cello. :)
