Try this one: Sit down with a group of ten other people and proceed to have a conversation about how Batman and Superman are so totally married it isn't even funny. In the middle of the dining hall. Loudly.

Not geeky, lucky. Even if Amherst didn't have the day off, it would be worth skipping class.

It's amazing how once you begin to specialize in academics, your concept of celebrity changes. Two years ago I attended a lecture at Harvard with my bio professor. Peter Grant was giving a tribute lecture to Ernst Mayr. Grant and Mayr on the stage together and I didn't have my camera!

Crusty old academic types are wonderful. I imagine Chomsky is very crusty. Enjoy!
