One recurring theme seems to be the stress...find out what about school/babysitting is causing the stress. Because school itself isn't inherently stressful. Most of the time. It's the work, or the people, or the teachers.

And bedtime is always a hassle. Ban naptime so it's less work, then make them run around lots. Graham crackers were invented as a childhood sleep aid, so if all else fails, graham crackers and warm milk. Worked for Andy, at least.
