I'm finding the rain outside rather appropriate, washing everything clean at the start of a new moment, a new year. It's made me effortlessly peaceful, easily introspective. Even the high spirits and energy of the girls doesn't push the peace away - I'm able to simply watch and smile, without feeling as though I should join or mediate or do ( Read more... )

My house - my house looks like crazed weasels ran though it at midnight. Crazed weasels on crack.

OMG. The more I clean, the worse it gets. I think I'll get some chai and take a bath. At least I'll be clean.

Now back to normal life, or as normal as it gets around here. To the mall to let the girls spend the gift cards they got as part of their "haul", get myself a latte, then back to try and catch up the freelance assignments, laundry, etc. that got put on hold for the holiday.
