And another, much like the other. . .

So, we had a *second* absolutely beautiful North Carolina day. Which was lovely. Windows down, wind through my hair, wishing-I-had-a-convertible bliss ( Read more... )

Indeed, it was a stunning day. As a matter of fact, about lunch time I sat outside and got a chill. Amazing. Tristan is outside with the dogs right now; nothing like a mid-September NC evening.
BTW, thanks for commenting over @ SDB. Sorry I've been a bit ... distracted and stuff. New jobs are nifty. But, I can't wait until I get some sort of normal stuff back.

No worries, hon, on the distraction front. I think everyone over at SDB knows that your life is *always* quite busy. That changing jobs and learning the associated new routines has made things a bit moreso is no great surprise. Just very glad to know that all is well in the Land o' V. :)

Well, if money were no object, I'd probably go with something *truly* impractical, like a Corvette Convertible, or possibly something slightly cheaper, yet infinitely *more* impractical, like a Lotus Elise.

But, in the real world, I've been seriously lusting after the (actually, quite affordable) Pontiac Solstice since before they were even released. I didn't want one terribly bad when they first came out, however, because I was waiting for the faster, sportier version, which is finally coming out this year, as the 2007 Solstice GXP. Not that I can afford one, but by the time the 2008s come out, I should have the Hyundai paid down enough (and my credit rating recovered enough) that a trade-in might be possible.

Well, everyone's gotta have their little obsessions. ;)

OTOH, I seem to recall a certain young woman gushing rather endlessly when she got her new Altima a couple of years back so, while we're maybe a *little* more excessive about it, I'm not sure it's just *boys* and their cars. :)

Actually, the weather seems to have little to do with my posting more. The short piece I wrote on the thunderstorm seems to have either broke loose something that was stuck, in the writer part of me, or fixed something that was broken. I'm writing more, in general, it's just that only the least significant bits of it are (thus far) for public consumption.
