That was funny and true! In colorado, you wouldn't believe how many SUVs you see out here. Im surprised people aren't going broke. I have two cars myself. A Toyota Corolla (which gets as much milages as a hybred) and a Mazda Protege. Forget the big gas guzzlers.

Yes, definately! I've heard that according to the statystics, if the gas consumption continues as it is now, crude will be extinguished in about 50 years I think. Don't know if this is just meant to scare the population, but if it's true, time to start thinking about alternative fuels, no??? And accessible prices, by the way!
I don't even own a car lol I borrow my father's one, but Hugo is taking a motorcycle license and we're planning to buy a motorcycle soon, I've always loved riding a motorbike!! :D

Its true though and I've seen it for some time. I know they came out with the technology but they hold it back because of the industry. So I just sit back patiently and wait. They will be forced to do something... either that or have a full scale riot on their hands.

i don't think the statistics are true, its just another way for the gov, people to screw us s'more. if you read national geographics, it tells us just how much oil is in alaska and over seas...they even have places in america where the oil is in the sand, and they have to make special machines to drain the oil out of the sand. There is no reason for gas prices to be this way...its just greed, and people won't stand up to do anything so why not? Plus we have corn oil, and such, and a lot of people are making bio diesal, and selling it a LOT cheaper, and all it is, is methanol and oil from your french fries. These high prices "and these so called hybrid cars" are a hox. they don't get any better milage. somewhere the oil companies and the car companies, are getting together to screw us. Also, with these gas prices soaring, i think the gas companies are almost punishing us for makeing other means of gas. E-85 gas is a mixture of soybean, and corn oil...so don't freak! if you watch the stock market, crude oil isn't going up...its ( ... )

I partially agree with you, everything is business, all profit goes to the government and big oil companies, and as we use to say here "It's the "little fish" who always get's f....d up."! That is, US!
But one thing is for sure: humans are like viruses. We drain our resources. And we've been using petroleum for a long time. Eventually the reserves will end and alternative fuels will have to be created. Oh well, you're right. There is no use for freaking out yet.
