Thank you very much! I find the differences in his relationships with the various people in his life very interesting.

I enjoyed this: short, sweet and to the point. And making the point very well. Yeah, I think Rossi's "Well done, Agent Reid" was the best complement he could have given Reid.

Loved this unique and interesting look into Reid's mind. The thoughts on "Kid" sort of shed a different light onto his relationship with Morgan. There's more to explore there. Definitely.

Thank you. You tagged the most interesting one, in my opinion. I think Morgan's meaning is complex, and has expanded as he's come to like and respect Reid. Nevertheless, the nickname perpetuates distance and a lack of complete trust (a problem Morgan has, to some extent, with the rest of the team as well).

This is great! I was musing something along those very lines when Rossi said, "Well done, Agent Reid" in "The Uncanny Valley". I've always though Rossi was pretty clueless when it came to understanding Reid most of the time, especially at first, but he seems to have a better handle on him, now - or at least in that moment he did.

Matthew is so wonderfully expressive and is able to convey all of the character's emotions so eloquently. So many times I have wanted to yell at the tv when the others hurt him, "can't you see what you're doing!!!" (LOL, perhaps I am ever so slightly too involved).

Emily and Derek are the worst offenders. They are just teasing and joking but they go right for his most vulnerable buttons and stomp on them every time. It doesn't matter that they mean it affectionately or that he knows it (or even that everyone knows Emily overcompensates for her own insecurities by trying to be funny), it still really hurts him. urrrgh

Thanks! Yes, it's the same for me - for example, when Derek calls him "kid," I can see the hurt and also see that he knows the hurt is unintended (two separate things that, as you say, Matthew coveys simultaneously).
I just re-watched Uncanny Valley, and I couldn't be sure that Rossi really understood the import of what he said. I haven't seen all of the Rossi episodes yet (I'm still catching up, and it's been out of order) so I haven't figured him out yet.
Matthew was really fantastic in that episode!

Actually, I'm not 100% sure he understood it, either, but at least he said it and was sincere. I'm not a huge Rossi fan, but he definitely has his moments, lol. And I totally agree that Matthew was fantastic. "Uncanny Valley" is among my most favorite episodes and it's definitely my favorite of the season so far, even with great episodes like "100", and Matthew's "Mosley Lane".

Have fun catching up! :D
