I work at a newspaper, so when I heard of the sad passing of Ronnie Drew I whipped up an appreciation for tomorrow's paper.

Good job, nice tribute. His body may have passed away, but Ronnie Drew is an immortal. The "Ballad of Ronnie Drew" vid is great! I love it when these guys get the recognition they deserve while they're still alive to appreciate it.

I love the 'Black Velvet Band' reference. It gets to me every time.

Yeah... though I mostly associate that song with Tommy Makem, because of a particular live performance... *sniff*
