Some Changes to the Guidelines...

Hello everyone. I have noticed an uptick in the number of posts in the community containing non-English languages lately. I am glad that they are active and contributing to the community. Maith thú.

Suggestion tho: putting the community on moderated status (i.e., all posts have to be mod-approved) would go a long way towards fixing the problem.

Any unapproved posts would go into queue. This would be a good opportunity to PM the posters and let them know: bilingual, or bye-bye.

Maybe try it on the short term? You can always reset the comm to unmoderated status if it seems like the message is getting across.

This is a recurrent issue in illustrators as well. There seems to be no real solution, people continue to post in languages other than English no matter how many warning posts there are. They are mostly amazing artists, so I think I'm better off for scrolling through their posts.

In my opinion, it's a bit harsh to tell a person to post in English or go elsewhere, when that person loves Celtic music as much as any of us do. I find it fascinating that there seems to be a large interest in Celtic music in Eastern Europe.
