So, on day three of NaNoWriMo, I find myself thinking that this may not turn out so well (something I thought wasn't supposed to happen until week two!) It's just that the story I picked to be my novel went pretty well the first day--1500 words in a manner of a few hours, which is really good for me. But since then I've had nothing. Meanwhile,

My first year of NaNo, I started a story the first day or two, then scrapped it and started all over. Which worked out well as the second story was much better & I still finished within 17 days. (Of course, I did insert my first story within the second as a novel the main character was reading so I still got the word count).

If you've got stuff that's going along well, focus on that instead. The other story will come when it's ready. :)
