I noticed this as I was shopping for blouses earlier today. Granted, I'm practically a guy when it comes to shopping because I hate it SO MUCH, but seriously. Have you seen fashion lately? The biggest thing out is the empire waisted shirts, where the elastic gathers right under the wearer's breasts, effectively making anyone over 115 pounds with

See, I'm a fan of the Empire-waist trend, because it makes it look like I have boobs. And not actually having any of the curves that men generally find attractive, that's a plus for me.
But you should see some of the stuff they have in kids' departments. Having worked in one, let me tell you: the sparkly underwear and floozy outfits always skeeved me out.

I have a decent sized chest and tendency to carry weight around my tummy. Empire waists...ugh, I look like I'm way preggers with a Pam Anderson boob job.

Really, this season of clothes has grossed me out. I'd like to rewind to about 2005-06, when the clothes had nice, flattering sillouhettes.

And I second the thoughts about kid's clothes: They're kids, don't dress them sexy!

As a guy...honestly? We don't care. If you look good to us, you look good to us. It's that simple. Now, yes, the best parts (to us) are the chest and hips. But keep in mind, back when those parts were the focus of clothing people complained that it was slutty... Right now the fad is "retro" so you'll get the wavy and also the retro cartoons and kids wearing Jem (no felicity_chan you are not a kid...) babydolls. Hell...I listen to Iron Maiden but when people see me with a Maiden shirt on they think I'm just being retro and trying to be cool...dammit...

And remember, the ones dressing their 10 year old like a slut are the young moms who probably WANTED to dress like that when they were 10... Just the way things go I guess. Remember, A&F got some flak for making thongs for preteens but now? No one seems to give a damn...

Of course, I have no fashion sense whatsoever soooo who am I to say anything?

All I know is, I'm glad I'm a guy (^_^)

You know...I know of at least 4 women who ONLY wear thongs because they find them incredibly comfortable and they hate wearing standard panties bikini cut or otherwise.

Soooo to each their own eh? :) Of course, as a guy, we do get a nice warm feeling inside when we get a peak at a whale tail... We can't help it...it's part of our nature...

Guys have problems with fashion too you know. Just ask my sister who thinks I dress like a horror show... :/
