Remind me the next time we go kayaking that I have to remind Shannon to bring a camera. Apparently Chewie in his new life jacket is quite appealing, especially to other boaters. It also has a handle, which makes it very convenient to dip him in the water when it gets too warm.

Good times.

Okay. The next time you go kayaking, be sure to remind Sha...*grins*

Sounds like he was adorable and like the two of you had a blast. Very nice to read.

It was very spur of the moment. Not too bad for only being about a 10 minute drive from our place.

Kayaking all on your own time and desired pace? Or with some sort of guided group? If the former, maybe we could do that when we visit!

You're on your own. They give you the kayak, paddles, life vests and tell you not to run into other boats in the marina if you can help it. We cruised up through the Rocky River marina area to Lake Erie and back, took about an hour.

Scott and I went on a kayaking trip on our honeymoon in Kauai. It was a guided tour, then hiking, and then lunch at a waterfall. I was dubious about kayaking considering my lack of upper body strength at the time. Since the kayaks were for two people Scott promised me that he would pick up the slack if I needed breaks. Well, we had some athletic motherf*@kers in our group. Scott and I trying as hard as both of us could still kept holding the group up. I still give him a hard time about our "leisurely honeymoon kayaking trip". :)

But when we weren't trying to keep up, I loved it!

You certainly don't have to worry about us trying to outrace you. Recreational activities should be relaxing.
