the fuckers at the humane society have their heads up their asses. they actually called me this morning to say: i'm not sure what the miscommunication was, but the vet didn't see him yesterday so you can't pick him up today. the vet comes in tomorrow again.. so we need you to get him on thursday

When my sister and her boyfriend were trying to adopt their dog they ran into trouble because a couple had just stolen a different dog from the clinic. My sister's boyfriend in from Argentina and the dog-thieves had been hispanic so they added racial profiling to their other bureaucratic foibles. Good luck with the red tape!
