Okay, the movie looks really interesting. Also, apparently Paolo Coelho is in it!
Also, how does Moyers fit into all this? Because if he does then I can probably bring this up in English class.

I'm assuming that PBS and Bill Moyers agreed that using the hour that his "Journal" is normally aired to show this documentary would be a good fit. Often Bill likes to tackle religious issues based on his own religious upbringing and education. He is an ordained minister. It wasn't until I went in search of where to purchase the DVD did I learn that this was a film by Peter Bisanz.

Whoa, I did NOT KNOW that he's an ordained minister. All I knew about him was that he did an interview with Joseph Campbell that lasted years (and is now a book that I'm reading). I'll have to remember to watch it when it comes out.

"Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth (1988)" is on DVD on Amazon for $18.99. It is probably one of the most captivating docu-series I have ever watched. There is also a follow-up documentary that Moyers did after Campbell's death about the original series. I found it hard to believe that Bill is actually a Baptist (who don't tend to be open to Christian mysticism) be as interested in and understanding of Campbell's philosophy and beliefs. But especially with the airing of the movie tonight in the "Journal" time slot, I see that Bill is one of us who sees the common truth running through all theologies, doctrines and spirituality.
