I know this should go in my other blog but I want this out here to try to stir up some shit. From those lovely people in Washington who want to screw you six ways to Sunday...no lube and no cigarette after...
1) Since people are paying less for gas let's increase the gasoline tax because the government needs more revenue. BULLSHIT!!!! Ummmm gas was under $2 a gallon before Katrina and Uncle Sam was making enough money. I DON'T THINK SO DUBYA!!
2)We're going to question O'bama's stimulus plan. It costs too much. Hey Mr./Ms. Asshole Senator...how much did Dubya's stimulus plan cost? He gave us all money that if the government really had (which it doesn't) should have been reinvested into job creation programs and public transportation.
WAKE THE FUCK UP AMERICA!!! I honestly hope this economic "slide" shook you out of that vegatative state big business and the government put you in and you now see that you are way over your heads in debt and start doing things like paying down your credit cards, purchasing cars you can afford, making your kids by their own cars, insurance, gas, video games, etc and trying to live within your means. You also need to start demanding answers. What happened to the US rail system and why aren't we using it to move freight rather than more expensive trucks? Why is diesel still more expensive than gasoline this long after Katrina? Why did the government give 250 BILLION dollars to the banks no strings attached when they could have given every taxpaying American ONE MILLION DOLLARS. People who are in hock up to their eyes could have paid down their debts or paid them off. People like me could have invested it. Personally, I would have put it into a high-yield savings account/CD and lived off the interest for the rest of my life. START DEMANDING ANSWERS PEOPLE.
