well--ACTF came & went...and now--in no particular order:
2005 ACTF adventures
~follwing david--our "daddy duck"--all over the place--and nearly to the bathroom once
~sans testiclean articulation exercies, which include the favorites:
WHALE'S VAGINA! & I CONTRACTED GHONNORHEA IN VIETNAM!
~zoo boh shah warm-up to psych out the competition
~"zombie prom"...the result of grease, little shop and batboy's threesome
~"hotel universe"...the longest play i've ever had to sit through....resulted in myself, adam and cassie having an unprovoked laughing nervous breakdown in the hotel stairway afterwards...i thought we would never stop....
~"what you need"...yeah--didnt appreciate sitting in the front row of a lab show about 9 women's accounts on rape whilst they slammed chairs on the floor behind me every 5 minutes just for the sake of making me jump...but it did prompt the quote: "my VAGINA was BLEEDING!!"
~"comedy of errors"...very nearly left during intermission...but i cant leave a movie or a play unfinished....and now i wish to god i had...lol
~not getting to go to a single workshop due to the fact that 1) they sucked and were pointless review and 2) the only 2 directing workshops i wanted to do were during the actual competition...
~constantly running into my stalker from the last time i was at ACTF--and getting protected by everyone when he got too close...lol...
~after walking a few blocks to find a bar in allentown--we arrive--starving and thirsty--only to have david ask "what kind of beer you have on tap?" to which the waitress replies "we dont have beer"...as we look around us at all the ads and signs saying "plenty of beer on tap"
~finding the gym in the basement of the hotel--which had 105 tv channels and actual pressured water coming from the shower...we nearly camped out down there...
~spending hours watching law&order...and making fans out of everyone there
~laughing hysterically at things that were so stupid--i cant even remeber what they were...lol
~one word: bluugh!!
~watching joe get drunk downstairs in the bar and working his way up to the "i love you guys" speech
~constant conversations containing only simpsons and family guy quotes
~attempting to parallel park my car in a spot pointed out by david--only to discover it was too small for my car...then 2 seconds later--parking it in a compact car spot in the garage...lol
~deciding "muhlenberg" was best said as if vomiting
~getting to talk to my baby on the phone for a few nights whilst my friends said stupid things in the background...lol..."BRAINS!! BRAINS!! BRAINS!!"
~getting lost in the parking garage--and somehow finding the car only by climbing over levels...creepy
~freaking out at the ticket machine that not only stated in written form where and how to obtain a ticket about 4 times--but it also spoke to you on how to do it...and then the next day--eileen managed to press the wrong button
~watching crappy movies on tv simply b/c we need to know what they were...and always msting them...usually inapporpriately
~joe and josh advancing to the semi-finals, josh advancing to the finals and winning an award for 'best classical acting'....by the way--there were over 160 nominees competing...and rowan brought 4...2 made it to the next level--and 1 to the finals...eat it muhlenberg!!
~total number of hours we spent waiting in line for something: 9!
~observing (after seeing zombie prom) how david's hair gains height when he's annoyed with something...lol
~hearing gershwin's 3 preludes being played live in a show in the background of a scene--and knowing that my baby plays 'em better...
~its amazing how when in allentown--if you turn down 19th--you're suddenly in san francisco...
~after not advancing to the semi-finals--and seeing the crap up there that did--myself, adam, cassie and eileen decided on new careers...i'm gonna be a lawyer...lol
~the girls room lacked a fridge, a coffee maker that worked, a tv cabinet that wasnt held up by block of wood, a heat light in the bathroom, towels, and maid service for a few days....and yet we all hung out in there...for several hours at a time usually
~staying up late every night and waking up early every morning
~getting lost in downtown allentown while trying to leave--and when the phone rang in my car--the question from cassie wasnt "are we lost adam?" but "can you do me a favor--can you ask brenda if david kissed her on the cheek when he hugged her goodbye?"
~the drive home with adam--which consisted of the car refusing to de-fog and us having to drive the whole way home with windows down (i thought i'd never stop shivering)...as well as ending up driving through west philly for most of the drive--and still never getting that "are we lost" phone call from cassie and eileen (who were following behind)
in conclusion--billy joel's song will never be the same (especially after being stuck inmy head for the entire trip--and when it wasnt stuck--david or josh put it back in there) we all had a lot of fun and a great deal of inside jokes created--however, one phrase can wrap-up the entire trip:
well...that happened....bluugh!!
saturday i got to see my baby about ten minutes after he got home from florida...the puppy was going crazy--and we got to snuggle and watch simpsons and stuff...its was nice--i needed it sooo bad...lol...by the way--i'm allowed to get a border collie...yay!...lol
yesterday i met brian at the deptford mall and had lunch at ruby tuesdays...then we walked around the mall for a while--he picked out a sweater and some shirts all by himself!!....i was so proud...anyway, i got a pin for my coat...and i think i picked out my BOTDA dress...i'm gonna ty it on most likely tomorrow when i'm at school again...
today starts my first class with my new kids...i'm teaching three this session for dance inc--& they're all mine too...i'm excited--but the first few classes are gonna suck bc of the long aggravating drive i have--once i'm at school---no problem...anyway--i'm very excited to have my own kids all to my self--instead of sharing with a dance and art teacher...lol...
tomorrow brian and i are going to a.c.--so excited...we're staying at the tropicana--we got such a great rate--its cheaper than the BOTDA banquet--how weird is that? but anyway--we'll be on the boardwalk and--besides getting drunk and gambling--our one real goal is to go to ripley's...yeah--we're dorks...but guess what--dont care!!....lol...so yeah--i'm glad i'll get a real vacation before i have to go back to school...auditions are fast approaching--and i have two more masks to make...but first--i need to buy the copper wiring for them in order to do that much...lol---so much to do--and i'm running off to a.c.--good idea...
in other news--i'm so proud of you robit...*mwah*...i love you sweetie...we'll be friends again soon luv...i promise...lol
