An old man crossed my path outside. In reference to my skirt, he said,
"Give it a twirl."
I did. He said,
"You're an elegant young lady. I didn't think made 'em like that anymore. Don't dirty your skirt".
I knew what he meant. Maybe I think too much into things, but I pictured him coming home from the war, long ago.
