New Year's Resolution

Dec 24, 2005 13:29

I realized that the number of books I read in 2005 was horrendously low.  Most of what I read day to day is news, blogs, magazines, programming APIs and similar things.

My resolution for 2006 is to read one book each month.  That may not seem like a lot, especially to people like
loststar42, but it would be a lot for me.  One each month, preferably famous fiction but I'll include well recognized non-fiction as well.  Any suggestions?  I am going to plan this out now.

January - The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde)  done

February - Walden (Henry David Thoreau) done

March - Slaughterhouse Five (Kurt Vonnegut) done

April - Gulliver's Travels (Jonathan Swift) done

May - The Water Margin (Shi Nai'an) probably not going to happen

June - Dead Souls (Nikolai Gogol) recommended by

September - The Bell Jar (Sylvia Plath)  done

November - Anthem (Ayn Rand) recommended by
