Just found out a friend of mine died. I hadn't talked to her in about 4 years. She was 29. She had a condition where her life expectancy wasn't great, but I never expected her to die this young

Thanks. I didn't know anybody read LJ any more. I assumed this was just going off into the ether.
Since I moved to Kentucky, I stopped keeping up with what was going on in Pittsburgh. She and I didn't have any other friends in common and she wasn't on Facebook. We talked occasionally on AIM until everybody in the world stopped using it.
I just wish I could've told her how much she meant to me. How I looked forward to seeing her every time we hung out. Of course if I actually said stuff like that to her, she'd just roll her eyes.

I still read LJ from time to time. It's a hard habit to quit.

LJ is nice because you can write longer, more meaningful things. The way social media is going, we'll soon be reduced to 1 character long posts.
