Got this one from
sio The rules:
1. Comment on this entry saying "interview me" or likewise.
2. I will formulate five incredibly thought provoking or ridiculously pointless questions and pose them to you.
3. You will then update your journal with amazing answers for me to read.
1. What was your first RPG character? Wow ... I THINK that she was my 7th generation Malkavian who was the Sabbat Archbishop's concubine. She was a LARP character for the local Vampire : The Masquerade game. I loved her, she had ridiculous stats, and I didn't get to play her nearly long enough because there was a huge Sabbat/Camarilla war for control of the city, and since she was high up in the Sabbat power clique, she obviously died horribly. Ticked me off that I wasn't there to roleplay that night, but myeh. I can't remember her name though, but I'm pretty sure I've still got the character sheet around somewhere or other.
2. Recommend me an author whose books I should check out. Oh DEFINITELY Anne McCaffrey, if you haven't read her already. The White Dragon was the first non-juvenile book I ever read ... squipped it off of my mother's bookshelf in 7th grade, and I was hooked. Granted, re-reading it as an adult made me realize that there were TONS of adult situations that I just totally didn't catch when I read it the first time, but still. Definitely a must-read. I'm going to have to track down a reading order for the Dragonriders of Pern series, though, because it can get confusing if you read it out of order.
3. If you and Josh won an all expenses paid vacation to another country, where would you want to go? Yes, let's completely not pay any attention to where Josh would want to go. *grins* Kidding. I don't know where he would want to go, but I know that I would love to go to Scotland. Touch my Celtic roots, see the sights, and being able to just daytrip to just about anywhere else in the general area would be a nice bonus. I've always wanted to be able to go to Stonehenge too.
4. What singer/band needs to drop off the face of the planet? Jimmy Buffett. Seriously. Enough is enough already. And oddly enough, I didn't mind him so much before, but I am stuck listening to this one radio station at work (since my mp3 player died and I haven't loaded up the replacement yet, and the boss asked me not to do streaming 'net radio anymore because it kills the T1 connection...) and they play Jimmy Buffett eleventy billion times a day. They don't repeat songs, but seriously. Playing so many songs by one artist is kind of excessive.
5. Which two of my icons do you like the best and why? Wow, this is a tough one! Seriously, you've got a metric ton of userpics. And they're all fantastically geeky. I can only pick two????? Yipes. Probably the Spock "talk to the hand" because omg, the wonder of old school Trek. *wistful sigh* It takes me back to being like six years old or so and going downstairs to watch reruns of Star Trek with my first crush. He had a kid sized orange shiny velvety recliner. I was much jealous of him for that hideous chair. LOL And Spock had a crap job, seriously. I would have pimp slapped Kirk on many occasions, were I in poor Spock's shoes. Second one would be the "Joss Whedon is a bastard" ... because I share your pain about Firefly. All the good shows get canned, and it's really starting to tick me off. But he's redeeming himself with Dollhouse. :D
And now, time to go clock in for work!
<< edit : I totally changed my answer for #4 ... I thought I couldn't think of anyone, and then I was reminded. Yay. >>
