The long-awaited update! Three computers and an external harddrive later and I cannot find the files for the third wave. And I've looked every possible place. This is potentially a stupid question, but what exactly is a remix challenge? Would just like to know before I go about filling in the poll :)

That's not a stupid question whatsoever!

remixredux08 is an example of a fest that's entirely about the remix. Basically -- you take a story that's been written previously and you get to re-write it. Like cover artists do with songs. They put their own spin and twist on it.

What we'd do is take all the fics that have been written in the previous four fests and use those as the "challenges" this time around. That make sense?

I don't feel I should vote since I probably won't be able to participate. I plan to do the pervy_werewolf Lusty Month of May challenge again so a May/June deadline for this is definitely not going to work so well unless I give up sleeping or get a start in March or early April.

As far as reading Sirius/Remus goodness that's produced from the fest... I'm not so familiar with remixes but from the sound of it I'd be interested in reading them. Though a theme and brand new challenges would be great to see, too! I'm thrilled there will be another wave!

Do vote anyway. If all goes as planned, I'm going to have the challenges posted around mid-march, with claiming shortly thereafter and having writing for april and may if that helps! *g*

I have a third challenge idea: Remus survived the war, raising Teddy and a year or two later meets someone who reminds him very much of Sirius...could it be that Sirius went through the veil and came out changed?

I don't care for remixes, but I would be interested in challenges. Especially if I can convince my Sirius nocturnali to write, as well.
