Gulf Shores was the point of landfall for the eye of Ivan. Recent report the streets were very flooded, thanks to rain and storm surge. Much of the wildlife in a zoo, I think it was, was evacuated, except for the deer and some 20 alligators. So I was reading in the Times today that the 10 year federal ban on assualt weapons is about to expire. W claimed he was in favor of an extension, but never got around to it. There was one bill passed by the senate that protected gun companies from lawsuits, but when an extension to the ban was added, the NRA scrapped the bill ( Read more... )
