So yeah, one of my major pet peeves is people who shit all over other people's dreams and crap. I mean seriously, shut the fuck up, why do people enjoy making others feel small or bad for things they love?

The way you worded that really knocked it home for me.

It's days like yesterday (and today) that seriously make me wonder why I bother. It's not as though I want to be in the fucking Olympics, or competing in other parts of the world - I just want to do fucking Horse Trials again! And one CCI*. Just one.

I had come upstairs and said "I can't watch any more of this. It's too depressing. I miss it so much."

And he says "I agree. That those people spend enough money on horses and competing to feed a small African nation? I find that depressing too."

And people wonder why there's violence in the world.

Yeah I pretty much wonder how he hasn't come out with a black eye yet. But some of his lesser qualities are instant rage buttons for me, soooo. ;)

I couldn't imagine NOT eventing!! I had a friend that trailer to Alberta every couple weeks to the events from SK...granted her parents are rich and were basically footing the bill... But I guess what I'm saying is that if you want to do it, then find a way! Definitely easier said than done since Sk has no events...but yeah, I think you should go for it, somehow!!

I'm working on getting myself a trailer! That's step one!!! Just waiting to hear back how much they want for it. It's a bit of a fixer-upper, but if I can get it for under a thou I'll take it!
