Fic!

Jun 20, 2007 16:30

Yes, against all odds I'm going to post a fic. It's just a one-shot and it's rather strange for me and angsty.

Still I just wanted to see if I could still make things work on the blank screen.

I have another fic finished and it's with kendas right now getting looked over. This one hasn't been betaed since I can't get in touch with the one I acquired ( Read more... )

What a marvelous twist, and I can so easily see Pansy thinking that if she's there long enough that Draco will realize she's the better choice. She's a twisty little thing.

I loved the use of the wizarding debt and the feel of the ancient magic as she tried to deny it.

Regrettably for her, having shown all her cards at this juncture, there isn't any way in which Hermione will ever trust her, nor is there any way in which Draco will ever forgive her; even with the birth of a healthy child.

I don't see Pansy as having an easy time concealing her feelings. She can be sneaky, hence her house, but she also never misses a chance to taunt others when she shouldn't be making a spectacle of herself.

I always see fics where the debt is used to put Hermione and Draco together and I also wanted to explore Pansy a bit as well. So I twisted it a bit and it came out like this.

Thanks so much for the review. It really made my day.

I really liked your take on Pansy. It's so easy to see that she'd be a bit self-deluded, but entirely self-centered as well.

Leaving you a review was my pleasure, I assure you.

I feel for Pansy as well, because anyone that delusional deserves at least minimal pity. Still the path she chose almost ensured a downfall.

So glad you liked it!

Oh wow, that was wonderful! I'm a Pansy fan myself, and I still really enjoyed that. Her and her delusions. So great to see you writing fic! ♥

I like your Pansy fics and actually thought of you when I wrote this. You can take it two different ways: as Pansy just being sneaky, finally getting caught, and then paying the piper, or as Pansy having a broken heart, desperately trying to salvage what she thought was a lasting relationship, and having descended into a little bit of madness along the way.

I'm so happy you enjoyed this. Thanks so much for commenting.

What a deliciously delusional Pansy! I quite like the way you have her constantly reframing the situation to match her fantasies - it's easy to see how she would go through the entire pregnancy believing that the child is hers and Draco's and simply ignoring Hermione's existence. She's selfish and utterly amoral, but you can't help feeling sad for her.

I'm so glad you've started writing again and this piece is a delight.

I could see Pansy having to make each situation work for her. Obviously she isn't going to be the lady of Malfoy Manor, so she has to tweak things in her brain a bit. If she's more than a wee bit delusional that works for her as long as it helps her cope with the situation.

Pansy is so wrapped up in herself she easily believes anything that she imagines because that's just the way they have to be in order for her to survive.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting!! It's always lovely to get a buzzy review!

Holy smokes... this is one of the darkest, yet freakishly romantic, stories I've ever read. I loved everything about this story, especially when Draco said he *might* let pansy's debt go with the birth of their child... makes me think they'll make her be the surrogate mother if they want another child. Oh, and Pansy's fantasy slowly driving her to insanity is great to. Arg, this is so awesome, it's quite painful. =]

This was one really angsty for me to right and even though I didn't want to I felt sorry for Pansy in the end.

Thank you so much for reading this. I'm so pleased you liked it, dark as it was.
