Normally I would post to my livejournal, but with things the way they are now, I'm only archiving at protected sites from now on, as are several other authors. I hate to be that way, but one never knows what someone else will deem offensive and so on.

I hate LJ right now. So many people are posting about blank journals friending them and so on...

Anyway, it's good that you're being careful with your archiving.

I don't hate LJ and I almost posted my fic here, but I keep thinking that there might be someone that could throw a fit. No one on my flist, but if I made the posts public, well I'd be opening myself up. I'm a coward I guess, but I prefer not to be banished in shame.

The blank journal thing is coming up because of everyone who was used to reading fic on journals and now everyone's journal is locked down. I feel sorry for readers and journal holders because it's a lose/lose situation really. We can't unlock our fic and we can't friend every new person we don't know. Readers don't always want an lj and they just get one to read the fics and friend writers. It's a pain all the way around.

I don't really hate LJ either. More I hate the fact that everyone is so scared of things right now.

I get where you're coming from about the blank journals... the whole reason I got an LJ was for the fic. But you would think they could make the effort of filling in a profile page, and putting an intro post. They have to know that the lockdown is for a reason.

It frustrates me, because I can see how annoyed my friends who write are getting with the whole situation, and I worry that they're going to stop! And where will I get my fic fix from if that happens??!! Selfish? A little. :)

Someone on AFFN was looking for this fic and someone said the summary sounds like one of your fics but was taken down. I have been looking for it as well. Is it one of yours ( ... )

Yes that was a fic I wrote back in 2005 ad I took it down a very long time ago. I have not had time to polish it and am not sure if it will be going back up any time soon. Things with family are very hectic right now.
