I hear ya -- it's a good thing my brother and his wife finally had a real child, because I was getting sick of hearing mom go on and on about their "granddogs" and getting the occasional "grandcat" for my kitty. Now that there's actually a granddaughter to talk about, the grandanimal talk has thankfully subsided.
